If sex toys are in a probationer’s house is that a violation in Yolo County (California)?

This ques. is for a friend that this happened to. He is on probation for failing to register as a sex offender 2 years ago. He was convicted for the crime 29 years ago!!!!! The sex toys found belong to a former girlfriend of his and he regrets never throwing the sex toys away (2 items).
